March 29

After about three weeks my echinacea are finally about to poke their heads up.

I can also see the zinnia that I planted directly in the garden poking up.

The sunflowers that I transplanted to the yard are also all doing well and growing quickly. However I planted them all too close together, thinking only a couple would make it. I think I will move a few of them again and hope they make it.

My foxgloves have grown about a foot just in the past week.

Sunflower transplants doing very well against fence. Might move them today so they are spaced out.

New kitchen

I love this view of our kitchen - yes it's still quite small but redoing it made a world of difference.

The only big design flaw is that our old fridge does not fit correctly. I guess it may be time to get a counter depth fridge...

Cut greenery

Spring is the time to bring new growth indoors.

I like having greenery where I make my coffee in the morning.
I pick new greenery or a new flower each week.

End of February part 2

Cleaned up deck and added geraniums, one delphinium, Iceland poppies, one snapdragon, nasturtiums, primroses

To the pots added two foxglove and seeds

Planted some seeds indoors too

Moved pots from garden to the deck and rearranged pots to get more sun.

Cut back dead vines and citrus.

End of February

After a long winter with a hard frost and a long drought -- things are not looking good!

But I can see new growth which is very exciting.
Tim to clear out everything that is dead and plant some new beginnings
